David Shoub, Retired Of Counsel to Anthony J. Madonia & Associates, Ltd., is an Attorney and Certified Public Accountant. Mr. Shoub’s practice has focused advanced estate planning, taxation, and planned giving. Highly regarded for his knowledge in charitable and gift tax planning, Mr. Shoub has been sought by families and individuals of high net worth who want to preserve wealth, minimize taxes, and plan for their legacy and succession.
His practice concentrated in the areas of estate planning and taxation for high-net-worth individuals, including the design and implementation of comprehensive estate plans (which in turn included estate, income and gift tax planning, as well as charitable planning). Mr. Shoub, who has been engaged in the private practice of law since 1980, is also a CPA. He previously worked for the Internal Revenue Service, and he practiced taxation with Wolf & Company, a national certified public accounting firm, where he served as the National Tax Director of the firm. An active member of national, state and local bar associations and a founding member of the National Network of Estate Planning Attorneys, Mr. Shoub frequently lectures on estate planning issues. The NNEPA aims to create plans that work for clients and, in the process build a practice that aids estate planning attorneys.
While still involved in client strategy, day-to-day interactions with clients of David Shoub are now being supported by Mr. Madonia and other associates of the firm. He is still active on the board of the Donald and Lorena Meier Foundation. In 2022, Shoub was onsite to witness the University of Nebraska’s Don Meier Studio grand opening, a shining example of the stewardship he has provided for the foundation.
David Shoub and his wife, Suzie, are now spending additional time at their retreat in Michigan. They are getting reacquainted with their favorite hobbies and enjoying family time with their children and grandchildren.
