HAVE LEGAL QUESTIONS? click here FOR A CONSULTATION

In my opinion, it's impossible to be an effective business lawyer without learning about your clients' business issues by asking many questions and doing whatever else it takes to become well-informed. I spent nearly 20 years in business. The lawyers I retained shared that approach to the practice of law.

Barry J. Miller, Esq.

Barry J. Miller is an experienced business attorney specializing in transactional work with an emphasis on real-estate and corporate law. He joins the firm from a 20 year career as the co-founder, CEO, and general counsel to a privately held dynamic real estate development, property management, and construction company.

Barry Miller has years of experience representing small private companies as well as larger public enterprises. He has a breadth of experience dealing with diverse matters making him uniquely positioned to provide comprehensive solutions to clients. His previous experience includes Neiman & Grais and Wildman Harrold.

Due to his work as the co-founder, CEO and general counsel to Patria Partners LLC, Barry J. Miller brings a unique perspective to the practice of law. He strongly believes in getting to know his clients’ businesses in order to better understand their transactional and legal needs.

Miller is a graduate of Northwestern University School of Law as well as Washington University in St. Louis.  Barry Miller is a competitive Backgammon player and avid bread maker.

Whether you are new at starting a business or a serial entrepreneur, launching a business can be challenging. Pro Bono Activities

Mr. Miller has been active in providing pro bono legal services to clients unable to pay legal fees. During the years following the financial crisis, he handled numerous mortgage foreclosure and loan workout cases for clients in crisis, people on the verge of losing their homes. He is known as an attorney who remains deeply committed to his client’s cause once involved in a matter. For example, Mr. Miller defended one of his client’s foreclosure actions for over 5 years, eventually causing the lender to enter into a settlement which took the form of a loan modification agreement; it allowed his elderly client to retain ownership of her modest home and pay interest (at a below-market rate) on a greatly reduced indebtedness. Standing up and fighting for the rights of the underserved has been a lifelong passion for Mr. Miller.
