Education
David Shoub retired in late October after a distinguished career providing estate planning and tax counsel for over 40 years. His clients are working with Mr. Madonia and other attorneys with the firm, while Mr. Shoub and his wife, Suzie, spend more time at their retreat in Michigan, getting reacquainted with their favorite hobbies and enjoying family time with their children and grandchildren.
As an Attorney and Certified Public Accountant. Mr. Shoub’s practice has focused advanced estate planning, taxation, and planned giving. Highly regarded for his knowledge in charitable and gift tax planning, Mr. Shoub has been sought by families and individuals of high net worth who want to preserve wealth, minimize taxes, and plan for their legacy and succession.
His practice concentrated in the areas of estate planning and taxation for high net worth individuals, including the design and implementation of comprehensive estate plans (which in turn included estate, income and gift tax planning, as well as charitable planning). Mr. Shoub, who has been engaged in the private practice of law since 1980, is also a CPA. He previously worked for the Internal Revenue Service, and he practiced taxation with Wolf & Company, a national certified public accounting firm, where he served as the National Tax Director of the firm. An active member of national, state and local bar associations and a founding member of the National Network of Estate Planning Attorneys, Mr. Shoub frequently lectures on estate planning issues.
While still involved in client strategy, day-to-day interactions with clients of David Shoub are now being supported by Mr. Madonia and other associates of the firm.
