Anthony Madonia is an Attorney and Certified Public Accountant. His main focus is in the areas of Estate Planning and Administration, Business Strategy and Planning, Corporate Law, and Taxation. Consequently, he is often referred to as an estate planning lawyer but is really so much more.
Madonia, who goes by “Tony” founded Anthony J. Madonia & Associates, Ltd. with a vision of creating a service-oriented, hands-on practice where clients receive comprehensive support and expedient attention. Earlier in his career as a tax accountant, Tony recognized the value of providing multi- dimensional insight when guiding clients through complex transactions. To add to his accounting expertise, he pursued his Juris Doctorate. He wanted to provide a more comprehensive lens to support client needs. Tony Madonia is known as a valuable business and tax resource. He helps privately held firms and the families and individuals they support to preserve wealth. As noted earlier, he is much more than an estate planning lawyer.
Mr. Madonia thrives on legal and tax challenges-the kind of complex problems that require understanding from multiple viewpoints. He enjoys identifying the strategies and developing the plans that minimize tax exposure and achieve success. Mr. Madonia is highly respected for his knowledge and insightful perspectives on the complexities that affect privately-held businesses. His direct involvement with clients keeps him in touch with today’s business environment and the evolving needs of business owners.
In an effort to better serve his clients in Oklahoma, Kansas and Arkansas, Madonia applied for admittance to both the Arkansas and Kansas Bar and was admitted. He is now an Arkansas-licensed attorney, as well as Kansas-licensed. As a firm we are now licensed to practice law in Illinois, Kansas, Wisconsin and Arkansas.
Prior to founding the firm in 1995, Anthony Madonia worked for Peat, Marwick, Mitchell & Co. as a senior tax accountant and manager, and at a boutique law firm, where he was a partner.
Mr. Madonia graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting from the University of Illinois. He earned his Juris Doctorate from John Marshall Law School while practicing as a Senior Tax Accountant.
Mr. Madonia is a former adjunct professor at John Marshall Law School in Chicago, where he teaches Estate & Trusts and Estate Planning & Drafting.
