Raymond Jacobi concentrates on Corporate Law, Commercial Transactions, Commercial Litigation, Mergers & Acquisitions, Intellectual Property and Technology Law. He provides legal counsel on corporate and business law, with a focus on contracts, regulatory compliance, technology start-ups and litigation.
Known for his keen ability to multi-task and adapt to the ever-changing legal environment, Mr. Jacobi assists clients with the formation of partnerships and corporations, preparation and negotiation of contracts and closing complicated transactions. He has worked with privately-held businesses and non-profit organizations advising on such topics as intellectual property issues, regulatory issues and employment agreements.
With a penchant for learning and addressing new challenges, Mr. Jacobi is always interested in taking on challenging tasks and projects. The outcome results in comprehensive and well-documented research into issues and questions that formulate detailed strategies and plans to represent client interests. Mr. Jacobi finds great satisfaction in understanding all possible issues, identifying sound options and turning contention into resolution.
A Chicago resident, Mr. Jacobi is married and enjoys outdoor activities and sports. He enjoys routing for his alma mater, Notre Dame, and exploring the city.
Mr. Jacobi earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Notre Dame, where he majored in Political Science. He pursued his Juris Doctorate from DePaul University College of Law in Chicago, Illinois where he was a member of the DePaul Law Review. He regularly earned a place on the Dean’s List, was recognized for seven CALI Excellence for the Future Awards and graduated summa cum laude.
Mr. Jacobi experience includes law clerk positions with the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office and a law firm that concentrated in the areas of commercial litigation, education and intellectual property.
Mr. Jacobi is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association and is admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court of the Northern District of Illinois.
