Bruce Jackson, Of Counsel, to Anthony J. Madonia & Associates, Ltd. is a seasoned litigator and commercial transactions attorney. His experience as a military officer and employed by a Fortune 50 health care manufacturer, a Fortune 500 public utility company and a major regional bank provides the business and economic knowledge to successfully handle complex legal matters. Mr. Jackson is at home in both the court room and the board room.

With extensive experience representing corporations, financial institutions and individuals in complex commercial transactions and litigation, Mr. Jackson has represented clients in domestic and international markets.

His work includes documenting a wide spectrum of commercial/business transactions, acting as plaintiff's counsel to prosecute claims and as defense counsel to defend claims from clients. Mr. Jackson's mature, professional counsel provides effective and efficient strategies and solutions to the ever-changing demands of business.

Mr. Jackson has served as an Adjunct Professor of Law at The John Marshall Law School in Chicago, Illinois since 2001, where he teaches commercial transactions, sales transactions, payment systems and secured transactions.

From 2010 to 2012, Mr. Jackson was the Distinguished Practitioner in Residence and Visiting Assistant Professor of Law at The Catholic University of America, Columbus School of Law in Washington, D.C. where he taught Unincorporated Business Entities and Partnership and Agency, in addition to commercial transactions and sales transactions. During his time at The Catholic University of America, Mr. Jackson authored a scholarly work on religious corporations and the First Amendment which was published in the University of North Carolina First Amendment Law Review. During the Summer of 2012, Mr. Jackson also guest lectured to canon lawyers at The Catholic University of America's School of Canon Law on secular and religious corporations.

Mr. Jackson's experience with national and multinational Fortune 500 companies, coupled with his extensive legal practice and academic background, offers his clients a balanced and skilled perspective to providing answers to questions and solutions to problems.


Mr. Jackson earned a basketball scholarship to Central State University in Wilberforce, Ohio where he secured his Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science. Mr. Jackson, an ROTC Distinguished Military Graduate, completed Officer Basic Training at Ft. Benning, Georgia, after which he had assignments stateside as well as with the 11th Armored Calvary in Germany. He completed his Juris Doctorate at the John Marshall Law School in Chicago, where he has also been adjunct professor for over eight years.

Professional and Civic Affiliations

In addition to maintaining a successful law practice, Mr. Jackson mentors young people interested in law as a profession. He taught Contracts and other courses in his role as adjunct professor at the John Marshall Law School and is active in their Alumni Association, as well as various professional organizations.
