Robert Selent is a Certified Public Accountant and Chartered Financial Analyst specializing in tax, financial, and estate modeling and projections. Mr. Selent supports Anthony J. Madonia & Associates, Ltd.'s legal staff with his perspective in tax, financial instruments, audit, and cash management. Known for his ability to easily assess tax implications and options from reading financial reports and tax returns, Mr. Selent works with clients to organize personal holdings to maximize wealth, stay in compliance and minimize taxes. He sees taxation as a process dependent upon necessary procedures and utilizing appropriate behavior: develop a process to maximize growth and wealth, identify the procedures necessary for compliance and follow the steps required to ensure maximum return on assets and personal efforts.

Ms. Selent's career has included positions in cash management, investment analysis and tax. He had held positions as controller and financial manager and has owned an accounting practice. His experience spans large corporations, public and privately-held firms and small business enterprises. His expertise has also been engaged to perform compliance audits of governmental agencies and recipients of federal grant dollars.

Professional and community affiliations are important to Mr. Selent. He is a member of the Illinois CPA Society. He is a Fellow of Rotary International and President of South Shore Dance Alliance, Inc., a non-profit involved in fine arts education and pre-professional youth development. Mr. Selent is a U.S. Navy veteran and a proud Hoosier from Northwestern Indiana where he lives with his wife and family. His hobbies include gardening, home wine making (using garden produce) and he is a motorsports enthusiast.

Education

Mr. Selent graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Northern Illinois University in De Kalb, Illinois. Subsequently, he earned a Master of Business Administration degree with Distinction in Finance from De Paul University in Chicago, Illinois.
